Get a plastic shower liner and lay it on the bed, then take the cloth saturated in the herbs and lay it on the liner, then you lay on the cloth. If you have a heating pad, you can use that under the cloth.

If you can reach your back easily with your hands, make some Bone, Flesh and cartilage oil by putting the herbs in olive oil and simmering for several hours or a few days and apply the oil to your back. [EDIT: if it were summer time, you could stick a jar with the oil and herbs in a sunny window. Keep a close eye on the oil and herbs, you want it on a very low heat]. I found the oil much more manageable than the decotation method. I also put the b,f&c in capsules and took them. I found the oil just as helpful.
