Thanks for posting this Chiron, these are fantastic trees, I look out at some huge Norfolk Island pines, every day :)

They are what Susan calls a hard pine, but they are very beautiful, they were planted by the sailors on the tall masted sailing ships, when they first discovered Australia. They are such hardy, tall and straight growing trees, that they were planted to provide spare masts, for any ship that may have broken or lost a mast during a storm.

We have several soft pines that are native to my country, the Rottnest Island pine, is just on of these. This is the one to use for tinctures and vinegars.

I use propolis all the time, for ailments such as sore throats, tooth ache, mouth ulcers, and many others. Its wonderful stuff.

My friend with an infected tooth, that was extremely painful, used an eyedropper to put drops of propolis directly onto the tooth, and it stopped the pain, and cleared the infection very quickly.
