I don't think there's any cause for debate here at all; there's just been a misunderstanding of intent or a misinterpretation of terms.

Water hydrates.

Salt dehydrates. It takes water from our body to process and utilize the salt.

However, the term "dehydration" can mean a shortage of water blended with a shortage of salt/minerals/electrolytes. But in the strictest/purest sense of the word, dehydration is "without water".

"Table salt" is poison and dehydrating.

Natural Salt is necessary for the human body; without some form of it, the human body will die.

Hydration of the body and balancing electrolytes are two different things/processes.

The minerals in natural salt help to restore our electrolytes when we have thrown them out of balance.

Depending upon the ratio of salt to water in the salt water, drinking salt-water can "dehydrate you to death", which is why people stranded in the ocean cannot drink the water around them. It requires more water for the body to process the salt in "all natural ocean water" than the amount of water consumed, ultimately causing death. And the opposite is true, drinking only water without any salt or minerals, no food at all, and completely depriving the body of salt for an extended time will also result in death.

I use and recommend Himalayan Salt; others prefer Sea Salt . Natural salt is a fabulous tool for restoration of health (for a variety of different reason, not just electrolytes). Salt Water Flushes are another good tool for health (one which my husband and myself will be doing on our upcoming Master Cleanse).

The original poster (woojungcorporation) has recently changed his ID from shawnsent, who (according to his posts on Curezone) is a young adult male who appears to have recently discovered the world of natural health. He is exuberant, excited and tries to help people, but under the name of shawnsent he posted a LOT of misinformation, which I challenged. His response was to sign his post with an "MD/PhD" which I also challenged, and his response was to change his posting ID. I appreciate his intent, but there's far too many real people with VERY real health issues out there that could be seriously hurt by that kind of "good intent".

We have very few scientists and physicians (and FAR too little research) in this world of natural healing upon which we can rely for solid information. It is very important that those of us that have some level of solid knowledge help those that do not (or are still in the learning process). And when those young, enthusiastic "helpers" attempt to help other people in crisis/health situations, their "help" can be very damaging & hurtful.

I welcome every opportunity to learn that I can get (in fact, in looking up the term "dehydration" just now, I learned that it can also be applied to a lack of hydration mixed with a lack of minerals/salts/electrolytes), so I think we should ALL welcome any challenge of our knowledge as an opportunity to learn the truth. I certainly apologize if in learning or attempting to correct misinformation, I inadvertantly stepped on anyone's toes, or offered information that was in error or caused confusion.

Healthy blessings!
