My brother also had this and doesn't have it anymore. What he did was clean up his diet, take a good probiotic, started eating more meat, exercise/weight lifting. He sweat with his exercise. He still suffers with a bit of yeast but no longer has the muscle twitching. He eats like a normal person now.
He looks about 8 years younger now than he did when he was at his worst.
I think one of the biggest things that helped him get better was getting over his Depression and stress.
