DE is great for controlling fleas, but if you are using it in powder form, please be very careful not to breathe it in, or let your animals breathe the powder dust.

It is very dangerous if inhaled.

I find that if I'm using DE in the dogs kennels or around the yard, I mix it with water, and put it into a spray bottle, it then sticks really well to the surface you want to treat, and there is no powder dust to breathe in.

It is just as effective used in this way, but a lot safer.

If you dusting your animals fur, cover their noses and mouths, as well as your own, and wipe them over with a damp cloth after dusting.
