Hi Deotima,
i've never been diagnosed with low thyroid, however was on the very lowest end of the 'normal' range on tests. however, low thyroid problems ran in my family - and i knew i hadn't escaped it totally!
i read all the notes on the thyroid forum here on curezone.
i muscle tested myself to see what i needed.
i did it in 2 rounds -
round 1 -
took maca root
http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/macaq&a.htm
started eating coconut oil instead of butter http://www.mercola.com/forms/coconut_cream.htm
did some energy work on my thyroid (with a healer) (my thyroid blog //www.curezone.org/blogs/m.asp?f=375&i=11
took rejuvedine (a detoxified Iodine supplmement) http://www.cayceconcepts.com/
i stopped for awhile. i didn't feel like i really finished it entirely, because my skin stayed yellow (which i've read can be because the thyroid doesn't work to turn betacarotine into vit a).
then i started taking living fuel green food and mineral supplement. usually i'm pretty against commercial supplements but this one muscle tested very high and i think my body really likes it. its entirely plant derived, and organic.
i continued to take rejuvedine detoxified iodine, although at a lower dose, and i kept up with the coconut oil. http://www.livingfuel.com/
i'm not sure why my skin was yellow, but its turned healthy pink in just the last few days after a year or 2 of being totally yellow! so i'm thrilled. the coconut oil was a definite plus, as was the maca root.
