Hi Deotima,

I can tell you what has helped me... I had a border line low thyroid and borderline high fasting glucose, very high BP 170/110, along with elevated liver enzymes and a plethora of other ills. I got angry at the doctors who offered no viable solution and took matters into my own hands; took control and responsibility for MY health. I studied many hours a day (and still do) to figure out how to even these functions out in my body. How you live, feel, feed and eliminate all have a synergistic affect, positively or negatively to your overall health and well being.

To make an almost year long evolutionary saga short, here is what I did (keep in mind your path may lead differently as our problems are unique from one another).

I have done, parasite, Bowel Cleanses and two liver flushes; I will post my second liver/gb flush experience soon…

I started eating/taking/doing:

Natural unrefined Sea Salt s, and sole (sol-ay) as much as I want, and yes my BP went down to 118/78 eating more salt than I ever have (I use real salt mostly occasionally Himalayan)
Dulse and Kelp for the Iodine
A good quality fish or cod liver oil
Replaced all refined oils with organic unrefined coconut or palm oil (for cooking) and organic, unrefined extra virgin olive oil for salads etc.
40 minutes of daily exercise and a midmorning or mid afternoon walk in the sun.

I also now eat almost entirely organic and approximately 50% Raw diet with raw fresh vegetable juices.

NO PROCESSED FOODS (unless I find myself unavoidably in a position that requires compromise; then I make the best available choices possible only IF I am hungry)

My health has slowly improved from the point where I hardly was able to get in and out of a chair a year ago... last night I squatted unconsciously (I have had two surgeries in each knee and almost lost my left leg in a motor cycle accident that prevented squatting since I was in my mid-twenties) to fill my tires for the first time in almost 25 years.

I have also lost 40 pounds so far. I believe 30 of it was directly related to the discontinuance of a prescription the doctor had me on as I was gaining between five and ten pounds every two weeks while taking it, despite being in the process of radically (no soda, sugar, wheat, etc.) changing my diet during that time.

My point here is that there is no magic pill to "fix" everything. We must be persistent and work hard in finding our own answers. Once found, we need to unwaveringly follow them for the rest of our lives.

Best wishes and health,

grzbear
