I did not read your entire post, but just by reading about the terrible pain and your cracked amalgam, my answer to you would be a resounding YES! Find a good naturopath who is well versed in mercury toxicity and get on a good oral chelator. I and many other experts out there think that EDTA and things like it are dangerous. Find a different alternative. Also, if you have any metal left, in your mouth, get it removed immediately. Nothing well get you well until you get rid of the metal in your mouth first. And be sure that a dentist who is properly trained in mercury removal does it. Most dentists poo-poo the mercury/amalgam connection, I think because they don't want to be sued. There are dentists, which I think are called Bioenergetic or holistic dentists. They should know the proper and safe way to remove mercury. I know your pain. I live in horrible pain 24/7. I got rid of the one Amalgam I have, but failed to stay on oral chelation long enough. Also, absolutely no fish until you are clear of mercury. However, you can have mercury-free fish oil supplements, as long as you are not allergic to fish.
