It makes sense but what concern me is I have read candida albicans biofilm matrix is made of different substances than the bacterial biofilms. I am not sure if there are mixed biofilms (bacterial and fungal) where the same disrupters can work. As far as I know, Cis 2- Decenoic Acid has shown to disrupts candida albicans matrix. There are some enzymes that also have activity disrupting fungal biofilms ( germ tube colonies ) I have saved a lot of this information in my computer that I need to review again. It may be the biofilms that don't allow the antifungals reach the fungus cells... I don't know if you can remember it because we have spoken about it in the past but cis-2-decenoic acid is a fatty acid probably very similar to undecenoic/undecylenic acid. So, it could means why SF-722 is thought to revert the fungal form of candida. Cis-2-decenoic acid is found in Royal Jelly.
