I am under the impression that the adrenals and the thyroid pitch hit for each other., Herbalists taught me years ago that either can go down. Whichever gland goes down (thyroid or adrenals), the other one will jump in there and try to pitch hit/support the gland that is down. Sometimes it is difficult to tell which gland has the primary problem and which one is exhausted from pulling double duty. So obviously, a judicial solution would bee to work out a program that supports both the adrenals and the thyroid.
