I agree with what you say about BH's diet recommendations. When I read the stories of fruitarians and former fruitarians, those posted on blogs etc, serious health issues can emerge from such a restricted diet, as people who write quite independently describe. For myself I would immediately be worried about worsening my adrenal fatigue and a recurrence of the candida I worked so hard to get rid of. My nutritionist said to eat 'a wide-ranging, organic seasonal diet,' at first avoiding those foods which were interfering with my healing (but which later my body accepted). ANother thing that concerned me was that BH, without knowing her work, dismissed the principles of this nutritionist and it was largely through her guidance that I healed from a very difficult chronic illness and recovered my health. I think it's inappropriate to dismiss the life's work of many dedicated holistic practitioners as BH did when he responded to my post asking for his views, particularly without knowing who they are or what they do in any detail.

About the liver flushes, I will read your link and thank you for that. I had hot flushes and one raised liver enzyme after a serious case of swine flu. I am about to have another blood test, so will see if the numbers are improved from my parasite and liver cleansing. I've got so many liver flukes and other parasites out, it's difficult to imagine it was good for them to be in there. Also, my intuition is that despite the difficulty of the parasite cleanse my underlying health is improving steadily and both of the NPs I see periodically say their testing shows it to be so. I can't see that herbal parasite cleaning is anything but good.

I also like the 'Nourishing Traditions' approach and appreciate your posting. Forums should allow a free exchange of views. Holistic healing isn't a clear and simple recipe - would that it were!
