I made it through the appointment really well, wow! I ended up taking passion flower and valerian before hand and was pretty calm. Thanks guys for your suggestions!

Trick, I will have to try taurine, that's something I haven't experimented with yet. Lymegirl, thanks for the heads up on the novacaine... i don't think the dentist used any. Deotima, I really want to try hypnosis in the future. I think my main problem right now in my AF journey is anxiety. I feel like if I could reign in the anxiety, everything else would fall into place. I'm sorely tempted to try an ssri, but maybe I'll try hypnosis first.
