These kitchens are fully equipped commercial kitchens so people supply whatever raw materials they need, as in food and canning, packaging, storing.

People can either rent the space or trade/barter for the space. Folks have started businesses this way since they do not need the total initial capital investment to get started.

They can also be rented and used for prep for things like weddings, corporate events, church groups, civic, and so on.

Agricultural communities can especially use these kinds of things. It makes the ability to start a business far more feasible.

It is something that has intrigued me since I first met this person in the 90s who shared how he had started this and had a book devoted to every aspect of getting one off the ground.
