Heat pads for old dogs are wonderful. I have a 20 year old Jack Russell terrier, and he has a heat pad and a sheepskin in his bed, all winter.

He doesn't get as stiff and cranky in the morning, when he sleeps on the heat pad and sheepskin.

I have found also that he benefits from a raw egg for breakfast, as well as his evening meal. He is very active, even though he is a bit of an old coot now :)

I think that our dear old ones have given us the most wonderful companionship and love, over their lives, and we owe it to them to make their twilight years, as comfortable, healthy, and happy as we can.
