You might want to Google Ted earthclinic baking soda. Ted is a naturopath. I got my ideas from him. It does seem there would be a neutralizing affect, I can tell by the ph papers that it doesn't happen - they went from yellow to green. If they get too blue then I lower the baking soda.

He says only to do the bk. soda & acv for 2 weeks, but I have been doing it for over a month at least with no ill effects that I can tell. But then he does caution about chromium & baking soda & I do take extra.
