 It would be very much appreciated if someone would write up a how-to, recipe or tutorial on how to make this...(in detail)

If you search for "kefir" in the Truth and Medicine forum you will also find other posts from people making kefir different ways including capping it tight to make it fizzy, adding ginger to make a homemade ginger ale, etc.

You will end up with a surplus of grains as you go.  These are edible, and I have heard some people say they dry the grains and eat them like popcorn.
