Last winter we acquired two little kids and they came down with bad colds. I found out you aren't supposed to give kids cough syrup anymore. I was desperate to find something to help their night time coughing so they could get some sleep.

Then I read this 5 page thread about how great vicks is.

I tried smearing the vicks on their feet and it really did work. I thought maybe it was a coincidence so when I got their cold I tried it on myself. It worked on me too.

I really hate smearing petroleum products on us. I wish there was something more natural that worked as well. I can't give them tea before bed. I wonder if oregano oil or something else would work as well.
