What about ROCK SALT ? The kind you use to make home made ice cream. Dig it out of a mine where its been there zillions of years away from our pollution. But then you have the mining equipment contaminating it :-)
With all the wars going on in Pakistan how safe is that source? Taliban may be contaminating it.
I will stick to my salt lamps just for their beauty.
