Nikki, that is excellent news that you have improved your condition. It must have taken a lot of adjusting. how long have you been going through this, and was there a major event that brought on more symptoms?
I am going to try the kava root, because my sleep patterns are a little strange: I am in bed by 6 at night, worn out for no good reason at all, but I am up by 4-4:30! I think that once I start feeling better, I'll go to bed and get up later.
The early-rising is uncharacteristic of adrenal fatigue, though. Is it not?
I have been recording my basal (waking) oral temp. and it ranges from 95.9-97.4. My 9 p.m. temp is often lower than my basal, as I have noted. My temp has gone down to 94.8 when I tried to run a few miles. I do not run now.
Speaking of "crazy" psychiatrists, have you ever watched Dr. Katz? He's funny.
I am curious about what you mean by "...new ways of dealing with stress." I am on S.S.I. for anxiety and have very little resistance to stress, especially social conflict. I have lived in isolation for several years now, because of it. If I had an argument with someone at work, I would shake and I would have to quit. That's how bad it was. I was an alcoholic for 13 years. Now, isolation is my only protection, but the problem is that I am a very friendly person and this is killing me. Oh well. There will always be challenges.
A couple questions; do you follow Lam's vitamin supplement protocol? was quitting caffeine hard for you? It's been a tough one for me.

Paul
