It's called acclimatization, which means the body adjusts to outside factors such as smells, temperatures, noises, etc. If your body didn't adjust to these factors then your senses would permanently be in high gear.

So if you're suffering with Body Odor , then yeah, you are most likely not going to be able to smell it as you've become acclimatized to it.
