Sodium Chlorite as pH booster

I've seen this video on Youtube

The guy adds 3 drops of Sodium Chlorite in 1 litre of distilled water to raise the pH from 6 to 8.

Can someone do the test again with the proper equipment and confirm this result.

I want cold hard FACTS tested by someone who knows how to do it properly.
