That was a great contribution to this forum. If you go a little bit back, you will see a post by me about my concern about drugs that target ergosterol. I stopped the Fluconazole after 2 months because I notice my digestion was getting worse. Even if this article don't mention Fluconazol, I believe it isn't safe for human cells. Our cells has cholesterol which is very similar to ergosterol. Those drugs attacks our own cells. The ideal could be to have oral Echinocandins. The Echinocandins attack the D- Glucan part of the fungal cell wall. These drugs don't damage our cells since they don't have Glucan. The same thing can be said about Chitin inhibitors.
