My dog who had severe demodex and stage 3 heartworms was laid to rest 6 days ago. We are heartbroken, but he was suffering so much and we had to help him pass so he could get some peace. At the end, he was refusing the herbal heartworm meds, and I felt like he was begging me to let him go.

Before he passed, we had quit taking the borax water. A friend said he had researched it and the borax was making our hair fall. Even though my dd was losing hair long before the borax water, we quit drinking it to see what would happen. That was about 2 weeks ago, and our hair is still falling out like crazy. AND the itch is back for me, and my dd's Acne is much more active.

I think we're going to go back on the borax water, maybe every other day instead of every day. There are reports of kidney problems with hair loss being the first sign. Since we were already losing hair, I don't know what to think.

Also considering mixing up an oil concoction that a member e'd me about and putting on our head at night, but this will be so difficult for my teen daughter, as she has sensory integration dysfunction.

We bought products from bluesagenaturals and found the relief and rescue face cream seems to be somewhat effective, if a big gooey. We also bought the shampoo but haven't realized any improvement in itching or hair loss on our scalps. We've been using it about a week and it is very watery with little/no lather.

My dd and I are both positive for xmrv retrovirus, along with many other dx's, including autoimmune issues. My dd has Aspergers.

She has been affected for 3 years, but I did not have symptoms until I quit smoking in September. Another smoker who lived in the house until January did not have any symptoms either. I wonder if chemicals in cigarettes are a deterrent to these bastards.

Anyways, back to researching demodex and being a guinea pig. I am physically, emotionally and financially exhausted.
