I think that you are giving up too quickly. If you are who I think you are you have demonstrated that you care about CZ very deeply and that you care about the free flow of information. IMO, that is the most important attribute a CZ moderator can have, truly caring about this site. You're there.

So, you've made some mistakes- you've been a bit overzealous and you've been overzealous in a forum in which there have been a lot of problems. Abortion is also a subject that people feel very passionately about, completely understandable. So if they feel that they have not been able to express their viewpoints due to overzealous moderation they are going to let you know how they feel about it, as you now know.

I understand the "hurt" that can come from having your actions criticized when you feel that you are doing the right thing, or trying to do the right thing.

Don't take any of this personally. I know, easier said than done. I feel that you have it in you to be a very good moderator. Right now you're guilty of trying too hard. So, step back and take a breather. Give it another shot~ or don't. It's up to you.

If you choose to give it another shot- follow Innercalm's advice- he's spot-on.
