You'd be surprised what you can make plastic out of. Soy, hemp etc and all renewable.

Things should be built to last and modified. Less fashion sense and more functionality and much less would need to accumulate in landfills. We have become too disconnected. Our economic model also encourages consumerism which needs to be changed.

If we think about things differently we can have clean, healthy technologies and if people worked together for common causes instead of exclusive and competitive advantages, our world would accelerate towards innovation married to harmony.

We just need to reset our collective compass and place emphasis on health and harmony. Nothing lost and everything gained.

Lots of resistance in doing so due to special interest groups who are not motivated to change.
