I think being too alkaline, or too acidic can be harmful. I think my stomach is too alkaline when it needs to be acidic. I just did that baking soda test an didnt burp at all.

Maybe you were too alkaline an got some acid going an cleared some stuff out?

I don't know these are just guesses.
