Yep people lived through some tough times, and this is romanticised in books, films, stories etc. The good old days were not so good. That was my point.

I believe that life is harder today than it was back then, not hard in the same way, but harder none the less.


As for me having lived a sheltered life, you couldn't be further from the truth.
