If this research is real, that means one you get an intestinal fungal overgrowth with candida albicans, you will get gluten intolerance and villi destruction. The immune system will activate against both candida and gluten at the same time because both share a very similar protein sequence. So, having a fungal candida albicans overgrowth in the gut = to gluten intolerance and intestinal villi destruction. Pay attention to the word Fugal ( hyphae, mycelial, germ tube ) Candida Albicans in its seed form doesn't have the same protein sequence than Gliadin. The problem happens when candida mutates to fungus. It is like this : Antibiotics , high Sugar diet, low cell-mediated immunity, stress, lost of friendly flora = candida mutation to fungal= gluten reaction and leaky gut = food intolerances = hundreds of symptoms.
