The pathways invariably involves testosterone and DHT. The exact mechanisms are not known. It is apparent that women and men also differs. We think in women it has to do with the lost of protection estrogen usually bestow upon excessive testosterone in normal situation but that which is compromised in adrenal fatigue though estrogen level usually increases on a relative basis in adrenal fatigue.
