Also, weak adrenals are hereditary...especially mother to daughter. If your parents were freakers who panicked at stress/problems, that plays a role.
It's a shame that mainstream medicine completely ignores the adrenal gland until it's completely shot and the person is near death (Addison's), considering it's where all fear/anxiety begins (after being triggered by the brain). Doctors ignore it because their continuing education is paid for by the pharmaceutical industry, and there's no pill for AF.
Seriously, a saliva test is the best thing you can do, because cortisol levels correspond with glucose levels, and a cortisol test will tell you, like a road map, how hypoglycemic you are and at what times of the day.
Certain foods and drinks keep those stress hormones in the body much longer than normal, or if you hadn't consumed them...coffee being one.
The normal guy who wakes up and the first thing he does is make a cup of coffee to drink on his way to work...he *still* has some low level of adrenal fatigue, it just goes undetected because he never gets to the later stages we're dealing with.
