I think you might be on to something here. Can I ask you how to best go about treatment and diagnosis here? My understanding is that "official" labs don't go out on a limb and report what they find, but rather report the few protozoans they are trained to find. Do you know of any lab or person who could actually isolate whatever they find and maybe run it through a PCR analysis? I'm kinda desperate here and I'm willing to do anything it takes to get back to normal.
