 It could be an allergy to candida.

My tongue swells up when I eat sugar, drink alcohol, or if I don't clean it. I brush it every day now with a toothbrush and try to keep my teeth and mouth very clean. I buy cheap toothbrushes (6 for a dollar) clean them after each use in iodine or hydrogen peroxide, and throw them away after a few days. That keeps the swelling down.

I also get allergy shots and candida antigens are in it.
