We've had several years of bushfires caused by lightning, and without the rain. We now have a total fire ban that starts in November and lasts the entire summer, and often into autumn as well. This year is even drier than previous years, and as we have already had several very hot days, I fear a bad fire year around here.

Thunderstorms today though, and with rain, what a joy, I could almost hear the plants in my garden cheering.
