I totally disagree. My husband and I have successfully used coconut oil for weight loss. However, we are low carbing, and when you low carb, calories really don't count. It's all about insulin production at that point.
Please explain to me how a nutritious oil is similar to the non-nutrient, sugar? And considering these two items cause totally different affects to the body? I don't understand how this can even compare. Please enlighten me.
And, if you would read Good Calories, Bad Calories, you'd know that they have totally disproved calories vs exercise expenditure. Working out does not take off weight. It may tone you, but losing pounds? Nope.
This is the same old story that everyone is preaching like the gospel, our lovely Food Pyramid, which is a bunch of shite.
Listen people. A calorie in is NOT a calorie out. It's a hell of a lot more complicated than that.
