I would think a vitamin C deficiency may have a role in bruising since vita c promotes the production of collagen and a lack of collagen plays a role in healthy skin ! Also any excess Vitamin C is flushed right out of the system so no fear whatsoever of too much vita C! I much prefer the buffered ascorbates though, to balance out the acid nature of ascorbic acid! I found a very inexpensive and useful product that I have been using for years from the Life Extension Foundation that includes calcium, magnesium potassium and zinc ascorbates ! It saved me from going into anaphylactic shock after being stung ten times from wasps! 30 grams pulled me right out of feeling that I was going to pass out!
