All foods have some issues with there consumption. And the liver does serve a valuable service in dealing with toxic substances natural and synthetic.

When one looks at food from a raw foodists perspective one is looking from an extremest view point.

Man grows and harvests 13 million metric tons of beans every year.Have you ever read about anyone dying from kidney beans in your local paper?

People have gotten sick from alfalfa sprouts but not from canavanine. The animal studies had to shrink and concentrate the feed to cause a pathogenic incident. So as long as you do not eat a 100 lbs a day you will be fine.

Much of what you posted is true but not a threat when one applies common sense. And cooking beans is a common practice do to how cooking enhances the food stuff.

Have you checked out Dr. Joel Fuhrmans book eating to Live?He is a common sense plant centered Dr.Not a extremest internet dork like a frutarian or raw foodist.
