I know this is older, but if you had a blood test for your mg level, it's false. It cannot ever be correct. Don't let a doc fool you, a blood test for magnesium is just flat-out false. That's because if you just ate a meal, say, and it had some mg in it, then that is just passing through your bloodstream, but it's not a true test for magnesium, because that same mg that you just ate can pass out you know where. Yep! That's right.

The reason is that the mg level that you need tested is what's in your muscles and cells. This is the drawback to testing for mg. A blood test of any kind cannot do it. But there is a true test for mg levels, which your doctor may not know yet. It's totally noninvasive, and it can test all your minerals, as a matter of fact. It's called the EXATest.

This is done like a DNA test. I haven't had it done because I knew my mg levels were low considering my symptoms. Most people can just assume they're low if they have the symptoms because most of the US is deficient, severely deficient. But this test, as you'll see, can really show you in what minerals that you're low in and get it correct.

I wish that I had the money to have that test done. No, I'm not selling that test. I even wrote to them and asked them if I can link them on my blog (for no pay) because most people and many doctors just don't know about it.

If you read Dr. Carolyn Dean's book called "The Miracle of Magnesium," then you'll see that she talks about this test.

So forget all the mineral blood tests. In my honest opinion, some are just trash. Why not have a thing swabbed into your mouth and that's it! Then they stick it into a special microscope and then you have your answer!
