I used Mircette for years before the Mirena, and never had problems until they switched me to generic (causing HUGE problems which took a year off BC to resolve). Unfortunately, Like HappyFamily6, after Mirena I am even more sensitive to hormones than I was before --I used progesterone cream for a few months after removal and it caused terrible side-effects which I am still dealing with.
I am resigned to condoms.

If you do decide to go back to BC, I would love to hear your feedback.

Also -- Birth control turned my hair curly too! Nobody will believe me on this, it's the weirdest thing ever. But since the horrible generic pill, my normally straight hair has turned corkscrew curly. Mirena made it even curlier -- so I don't know if it's an estrogen thing necessarily, more like a hormone imbalance thing.
