Actually you may be surprised the people using social networks these days. It is heavily used for branding and marketing and many business circles. Take a look on face book and twitter and search some of the famous people that you may have some respect for. You may reconsider the "half a brain" status label after undertaking the exercise.

Twitter for instance in alt health circles:
Mike Adams from http://www.naturlanews.com
is on there.
Jon Barron is on there.
Mercola is on there.
etc.

Many famous authors also have a presence on there as well as face book.

Social media is exploding and if used with a particular function in mind, can be a powerful networking tool. Think of it as organic, multi-dimensional business cards
