Did the doc suture the sites closed after your surgery or just give you gauze & wait for clotting? What's to prevent a recurrence if you go home with another open hole in the gums? I have read Iodine on the area can be beneficial while healing.
I'd like to read any posts from others who have had the surgery and a before/after comparison of your symptoms.Any surgery, once done, is irreversible (like when the teeth are pulled)
Thanks rockn
No suturing on our C sites. We were given some gauze and were told to allow a blood clot to form naturally. This did happen within 1 hour of the surgery. There was no more bleeding after that from any of the tooth sites.
This place uses "packing and/or grafting materials" and sutures the wound closed - http://www.grotondentalwellness.com/Dental_Spa/Dental_Procedures/Cavitation_S...
Not sure which is best...
