From personal experience, when my belly is bigger I snore and when it isn't I don't.  Losing weight and exercise work for me, along with avoiding over-eating during dinner and at night.  An anti-snore memory foam pillow helps too.  If a large belly and/or overeating prior to bedtime are not the problem, then one of the mouthpieces that brings the lower jaw forward or perhaps one of the forced air machines might work.
