Its getting cold here ,too,it was about 6-7C this morning when I was heading to work...
You have some personal thoughs and approach to fasting that I found really cool.I was trying to answer myself the question why ,really, I wanted to do another fast in Nov..It could be because I will get a chance to slow down for 2 weeks..Also,It could be because of THAT bridge between body and soul you are talking about...I love the sense of ease and calm during fast. Fasting is my little peaceful "island" with time only for myself. Fasting brings me the bigger picture of the Nature and simplicity. My world is absolutely different during fast and I love it -I slow down from my hectic schedule, read books and chill while the Nature is working to fix me,LOL.

The truth, though- I flunked my summer and I need some catch up to do..I planned to so some Watermelon for few weeks..BUT everything after fast # 4 (16 days ,June) went backwards.. I messed up my diet for 1.5 months.I couldnt find my "switch" and stop till August (which was the month with my longest- 21 days fast)...Honestly,I dont really have much time for remorses and guilt with my failed diet. I have to make sure that it is not going to hapen again. So,here I am, trying to stay focused on the right things.

So,myy fasts are getting better, emotionally and physicly I am at really good place. What is not to like about 10- 14 days fasts,lol? They are working for me. I WILL BE READING THE BOOK YOU MENTIONED THE FIRST CHANCE I GET, most likely next month

Where is your kid in Europe? How great he will be back. Dont alter the joy with him skipping meals etc, wait for your fast. You can always do it after.
