Anne, it sounds like Vidda's experience fits right into
"protocol #one." (re-feeding of 45 days between fast two and three) This, I would imagine, is when a person feels they are stillin the midst of working on some health isssues that were partly-addressed. I suppose we all are in that category, at some level...

You really have done some serious study, and I commend you. This is another R-worthy post. I thought I'd read a lot before my first fast, and I did read some of the lit. on the Soil and Health Library--then I jumped in to a 29 day fast.

I'm trying to remember my RF-- and it's a bit sketchy now.
I know I began with watermelon, the fruit, and that seemed to kick-start the digestion. Looking back--I'm sure I would have been better to follow more strictly the progression as you've posted. It ended up taking me about three weeks to regain a feeling of 'ok', esp. with the digestion/assimilation. But more, with just strength.

Some of the old fasting lit. however, says that with the return of genuine hunger, people could digest baked apples, immediately, say, or, in the case of one fasting master (as I call them), a dish of "force"--which it turns out is a form of whole wheat, well cooked. Nothing like this likely exists now, in this century, what with agri-business, etc.
In other words, it was genuinely live-giving food, in those days.

Also, I think some people can break the fast with good vegetable broths, (lots of minerals) and move into say, vegetable juice, pureed. It would be interesting to hear from some of the longer fasters here--If memory serves correctly, very few of us have followed a strict re-feeding protocol. In every case, every one has learned a lot, whatever the (unique) process.

As always, a lot depends on where a person is at, truly,
(as only the person can fully know) healthwise, weight-wise, and what exactly their mineral stores are like. Much as I love to see and even imagine following the wisdom of the masters, in the case of water fasting, I tend to feel 'learn the rules, and then you can break them'.

They're good rules though! (And I'm always encouraging people to read, starting with the old guys--and then asking one's inner tuition (("intuition"))

Thanks for sharing this.
C.
