The big problem with Miracle-Mineral-Supplement is that when you follow the protocol you end up with a solution with a very high concentration of chlorine dioxide in it. If you adjust the concentration down to a reasonable level, the problem with PH goes away.

Prior to Miracle-Mineral-Supplement , people simply added sodium chlorite to water and drank that. There are a number of reports of healing and better quality of life using that method.

Perhaps a more fundamental question would be to determine if any acid is needed at all...

Chlorine dioxide test strips are readily available, or you can roughly go by color. The deeper the yellow color, the higher the concentration of free chlorine dioxide. At a 1 PPM concentration it is difficult to see any color at all.
