Hi Vidda,
I realize that you asked Chiron the question about the lenght of the re-feeding (RF) periods (periods between water fasts). If it is the case, simply disregard my post.
I went through many different sources and think that I have an idea about the lenght of the RF periods.
RF period is a period of time when the body is unable to digest all foods; That is why food should be introduced slowly and in the following order:
first fruit juice without any pulp,
then vegetable juice without the pulp,
then fruit juice with the pulp,
then vegetable juice with the pulp,
then vegetable or fruit salads,
then concentrated protein and fat could be consumed.
Concentrated protein food (eggs, meat, fish, etc.) may be consumed in a small quantity first and not earlier than after 10 days of RF (earlier if WF took 7-10 days only).
The same rules applies to the concentrated fats (nuts, seeds, avocado, oils, etc.); They should be introduced not earlier than after 10 days of RF (earlier if WF was short, for example 7-10 days) and in a small quantity first. If body mass loss is desired, consumption of fats should be limited as much as possible and introduced later than after 10 days of RF; However total eliminating of fat consumption is undesirable because fats are extremely important for health.
After RF the following fats and their quantity are good enough for vegans for daily consumption: half of avocado, 2 table spoons (no more than 50 g)of nuts and seeds, 1 table spoon of ground flax seeds.
Legumes may be introduced not earlier that after 10 days of RF (earlier if WF is short).
The general rule for the LENGTH of RF is as follows:
For each day of Water Fast (WF) at least one and half day of RF is required. If you fasted for 21 days, your RF period should be at least 31-32 days long.
I also found out that some Russian naturopath is using one of the following protocols:
PROTOCOL #1
20-25 days of WF followed by 30 days of RF, then
20-25 days of WF followed by 45-60 days of Rf, then
15-20 days of WF until true hunfer returns.
When true hunger returns your body does not require any RF; You may consume any food you wish.
Protocol #2
17-20 days of WF followed by 30-35 days of RF, then
20-25 days of WF followed by 45-60 days of RF, then
10-20 days of WF until true hunger returns.
When true hunger returns your body is ready to consume any food you desire.
PROTOCOL#3
17-20 days of WF followed by 28 ndays of RF, then
17-20 days of WF followed by 35 days of RF, then
17-25 days of WF until true hunger returns.
After true hunger returns you may immediately start eating any food you desire.
