chrisb1:

I saw the psychiatrist Monday. The interview was entertaining. She asked to schedule another visit because she was out of time and had more questions to ask. I replied, "I didn't think I'd be seeing you more than once, but since your so pretty Doc, okay."
"How about next week", she said.
"No, I'm starting a fast and an import/retail business and the cabs been down all weekend with bad gas with the owner out of town on fishing trip...in about a month might be better."

So I'll see her again on October 19th. I saw a psychologist back in '99 after reading, "The Unexpected Legacy of Divorce: A 25 year study", by Judith Wallerstien.
I also took a psychology class at Thomas Jefferson back in '97 while studying "Medical Office Systems" under an associates degree program to write computer software applications for doctors offices.

She concerned herself with my childhood, family, education, health, fasting, and why I was seeing her because of my urologist's compromise of the "urine FISH" instead of the biopsy agreement.

After my September 2nd appointment with my urologist and a second exam with her appointed second urologist, an associate, who I let do a cystoscopic exam I started to investigate this hospital group.
The second urologist told me to look at the monitor as I was in pain to see the cancer in my bladder. All I saw was a blur and they did not record the exam. I could not really determine anything while in pain on the table and the camera looked like it had the ability to record, but I am not sure without looking up a similar looking devise on the web.

I checked with my insurance provider and discovered the name of the company the Urine-FISH test was sent to and found they were fined over $1 Million after a pathologist formerly employed reported them:

I also found many urologist from the same hospital group employed at the company which does the Urine FISH test.

Finally there is a Urologist who published:
"October 27, 2009
The Business of Prostate Cancer: Putting Profit before Patients
By Dr. Anthony H. Horan
The Big Scare During my 30+ years as a board-certified urologist I’ve seen quite a bit of suffering, much of it needless, in my opinion. In my work both in private practice and with the VA in Fresno, CA. I’ve encountered many men who’ve received treatment for prostate cancer that greatly diminished their quality of life and produced horrible side effects, but did absolutely nothing to prolong their lives. These patients served as the inspiration for The Big Scare: The Business of Prostate Cancer, a book I wrote, hoping to spare men from the over-diagnoses and over-treatment for prostate cancer that’s taking place in this country every single day."

Then I found the hospital urologist associates, in question, opinion stated on the web:

"If a man at risk for prostate cancer has undergone a negative TRUS biopsy, the decision for the need for additional biopsies is problematic. Use of PSA derivatives such as free and total PSA and the initial biopsy abnormalities such as atypia or high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia may define those patients in need of follow-up biopsy."

My conclusion is not to see this urologist association again. I am still awaiting the report from my health clinic which should be sent this week. I trust my clinic because unlike the urologist who are paid for the procedures performed they are paid salary to practice medicine. I discussed some of the details of the second opinion only with the insurance carrier and they agreed to let me get an additional Urine FISH test in November without any doctors approval.

I've evaluated three companies which do Urine FISH test that failed as unbiased because of associations with local urologist. There is a fourth company which states they follow FDA guidelines, which are voluntary, and who are from out of the area who I have not been able to find any local urologist associated with them. I have to check the FDA guidelines and their compliance if possible.

Two of my Bladder Cancer symptoms reappeared last week one day apart only once or twice. I have no pain and can still sleep without interruption. I still smoke and this time I have to meditate and/or use self-hypnosis to quit completely in my fast. I indulged myself since September 21st and today is my first day of pre-fast conditioning of fruits, juice, and vegetables. I don't think I will let the psychiatrist know all that I found on the urologist association.

I expected more from this hospital but I found many employees stating it has been undermined:
"Management is promoted solely on how they are related to others in the department, not on the skills and knowledge they have in the field. Too much politics and bean counting, not enough actual work done by management. They seem to think the signs of great health care is how many patients go through the doors, not how many patients are getting great health care(the actual Doc's and Nurses, and other professionals don't work this way, hence the great health care). Management swears by their "Open Door" policies, but generally demote and keep people down that actually use it. There are tons of husbands promoting wives(in one case from secretary to assistant director of a department, in one step), based not on skill sets but relationships. This isn't to mentions sons and daughters and cousins. Too much inbreeding."

It is frightening to know that these highly educated professionals could fillet me like a fish and pocket the cash. I have enough to write a review to the media after i have accomplished my task. Who can you trust is another question?
But, besides all that I want to see this psychiatrist who smiled when I said she was pretty as a leaner healthier person. Women always smile at me when I'm leaner.

CarmanAnthony
