I think you are missing my point. I'm well aware of the statisical analysis they do for efficacy as well as side effects. My point is in this day and age, with liability, many companies often list non-significant side effects to cover their butts. Very often they will state, "common side effects were xyz, similar to the placebo." And if we are going to talk statistics, if you read the literature,they DO publish the percetage of patients who experienced side effects. In many cases, the majority of patients DIDN'T experience ANY side effects. Yet they still list in great detail the common side effects experienced by the FEW who did.

I'm glad to see my sarcasm didn't go unnoticed. Again, the point of my sacastic remark was that everyone was focused on the fact that she recieved a prescription for a drug, rather than that she was happy she found a good doctor, who listened to her, and did not try to force her to get her gallbladder taken out. Instead of sharing in her happiness, most everyone attacked the drug. Given how difficult it is to find a good doctor, I think that is a shame.
