Hi sunfood,

I didn't have any preparation. I went straight from junk food to fast and it worked fine. First three/four days were challenging but after that was easier than any diet I went through.

I do not know much about autoimmune disease but I know that Fuhrman in his book Fasting for life was writing specifically about it.
