thanks for providing those links, Chris, and taking time to explain a bit more...
As you suggest, there can be some fiddling with/tampering with food-growing in order to achieve a higher brix that does reflect more the Sugar content (or syrupy-ness, if you will)than the entire array of 'goodies'--and this is where the blessing of the blurry line comes in. (vs. the sharp-line reading.)
there's a lot of fun in store for anyone for wants to learn to test and then grow their own food.
In all my testing of grocery store fruits and veg, including those mysterious tomatoes that seem to last for years without either rotting OR dehydrating, I've rarely seen much better than 4-6, in almost anything, regardless of how nice it looks. sad--and of course, the upshot is, that people FEEL like they are getting better food if it's processed--and more and nore people then become slaves to Big Pharma, following and connecting the dots:low-nutrients; more addiction to gmo ingredients such as anything corn, or potato starch... (only one out of 5 potatoes goes to human food--the rest is easy to hide, in animal feed, alcohol, etc...
As I've mentioned before, since it was a revelation to me, walking through the supermarket aisles while in the midst of a longer water fast, I could pretty much conclude, based on an increase in -edit:perceiving- the energetic fields around the produce, that almost none of it was worth eating.
(think of how alot of kids -and their parents-'don't like fruits and vegetables'--I am positive that it they get to taste good ones, they will)
When it takes more of the body's enzymes just to work with digesting such deficient food, and then this uses up the store of minerals too, in order to counteract the acidity, one is almost better off with water!!
But I'm being a bit glib. I don't want anyone to get the idea that starving is something I'd condone.
And (therapeutically)water fasting wisely, as we know, is the opposite of starving.
One simple rule for anyone is that GOOD or excellent food does not rot--it merely dehydrates;test this yourelf.
we've been lied to.
