I'm not mad at all Beej. I enjoy these conversations too, or I wouldn't get involved in them. It's definitely a great way to learn. I just wish I had the bible memorized. Having to look up these scriptures all the time creates a desire in me to know the bible much better than I do right now, but that's a very good thing.
I also think this is a pretty complicated subject. I don't think it's one that's going to be understood with a few scriptures. A minister I really like, John Reisinger, has written a book on all this, called Abraham's Four Seeds. I realized just by reading some of that book, how complicated this subject on the Sabbath, and "the law" can be.
So, that's what frustrates me. I am convinced in my own mind about all this, but I'm not very good at explaining it all to others, and I know a scripture thrown out here and there, is not going to accomplish much in explaining why I believe the way I do that the Sabbath is now an everyday reality for believers and not just a day. But I also know it's God who has to do the revealing of truths, and I know He will do that in His timing with each of his children. No one has all the truths of the bible all figured out. I can't wait to understand fully one day though, and to know Him fully, as He knows us.
This is one of my top favorite scriptures for sure:
1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
